Insurance claims

We'll walk you through the insurance claim.

Most homeowners file a roof claim once or twice in their life. We do inspections like this every week – here's how it works:

  1. 1Free inspection: we photograph and document all storm damage.
  2. 2You file the claim with your insurer (we'll show you what to tell them).
  3. 3We meet your adjuster on site so nothing gets missed.
  4. 4Once approved, we schedule your repair or new roof – you pay your deductible.

We are a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster. Your insurance company decides coverage; we never ask you to sign over your claim or your insurance check.

FAQ

Straight answers about storm damage

How do I know if my roof has storm damage?

Common signs are missing or lifted shingles, granules in the gutters, dents on vents or gutters, and new water stains on ceilings. Much hail damage isn't visible from the ground, which is why we inspect up close and photograph everything.

Is the inspection really free?

Yes. There's no charge and no obligation. You'll get photos and an honest answer about whether we recommend a repair, a replacement or filing a claim at all.

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?

That depends on your insurer and policy. Storm claims are often treated differently from other claims, but you should ask your insurance agent. We'll give you the documentation either way.

What does it cost me if insurance approves the claim?

Typically your deductible, plus any upgrades you choose. We'll explain the numbers before any work starts.

How do I avoid storm-chaser scams?

Hire a local, licensed and insured roofer, get a written contract, never pay the full amount up front, and never sign over your insurance check. The FTC and BBB both publish guidance on this.

Can you tarp my roof today?

Call us. If there's an active leak we prioritize emergency tarping to protect your home while the claim is handled.

Don't wait for the next rain to find the leak.
